NATIONAL GALLERY OF ART – EAST BUILDING

I know I said that DC has more to offer than just museums but there are some pretty awesome ones here. My new favorite one is the National Gallery of Art – East Building just because it has a lot of transformative and 3D art.

My friend and I had so much fun capturing some of these phenomenal pieces and seeing some of the world’s most famous pieces too.

There was one exhibit that really grabbed my attention. The big giant blue rooster. I saw it on Instagram and clicked on the geotag and three days later I was there taking a picture with it. As cool as it was, unfortunately, it will be shipped back to London in two weeks.

A curator at the museum told us that in America and some places in Europe the museums share art. She told us that the blue rooster can be broken down into three different parts and gets shipped across the Atlantic ocean. How cool is that??

Not only is the artwork in this museum awesome, the aesthetics and architecture of the building are beautiful and there is a ton of open lightening. This is a great place to take some pictures.

Would definitely recommend anyone to go visit.

Until next time,
